this year i went to fmm sines to try out a new print setup. some type, some support to print on, some ink… on the street—on the floor, in stairs on benches.

Officina Novepunti is glad to present The Letterpress Workers International Summit 2014, an international letterpress workshop, followed by an exhibition, which will take place in Leoncavallo, Milano, from the 18th to 22th of June. During the workshop, about twenty designers, from different European and Central American studios, will work side by side, using typefaces, rolls, inks and paper, in the presence of an audience. The resulting artworks will be shown in an exhibition, starting right after the workshop: on the same occasion, other typographical works, selected from a pool of italian typographers, will be shown.
i can say that this event/meeting is a blessing from milano based letterpress collective officina tipografica novepunti.
they are just materializing into the physical reality this new era of letterpress printing led by the internet fake-plastic stage with dslr photography.
last year we broke the ice; now, it seems we have a ship to sail.
i can only say that my anxiety levels are going up, but im well prepared.

some posters were made also with nayara siler and ricardo pimentel.
stickers and cards made very quickly for us to understand what could be achieved and to understand the work involved. expect a din is noise font, din is noise t-shirt…
stay tuned at http://dinisnoise.org — it hosts a beautifully designed website and one of the best pieces of software i ever used in my life. it is now available and spoken as a hardcore waveform editor. expect it to be very solid and please, don’t use it unless you have a decent pair of headphones or speaker system. otherwise you will see shit of what it is.
